ELEMENT Durable Velvet is a silk-matt latex paint for interior use with enhanced wear resistance. It forms a thin, durable coating that highlights the surface texture and withstands regular wet cleaning. A good choice if you are looking for wall paint that can withstand even heavy daily use.
The paint is particularly recommended for textured surfaces: all types of paintable wallpaper, gypsum, cement and decorative plaster. It is also suitable for plasterboard, wood, plywood, particleboard, fibreboard and OSB.
ELEMENT Durable Velvet can be used in dry and humid rooms, including living spaces, kitchens, bathrooms and hallways. The paint is also recommended for educational institutions, healthcare facilities, catering establishments and other public premises. The coating withstands washing with detergents and disinfectants that contain no abrasives or chlorine.

How to use the paint
Before painting, the surface must be prepared, clean and dry. Remove flaking old paint, dust, dirt, grease, chalk and lime. Fill cracks and depressions. Treat highly absorbent surfaces and plaster with slight surface crumbling with ELEMENT primer concentrate or ELEMENT GRUND.
Stir the paint thoroughly and apply with a brush, roller or sprayer. Two coats are recommended: for the first coat, the paint may be thinned with no more than 10% water; for the second coat, use the paint undiluted. Apply each coat continuously across a single surface using the wet-on-wet method.
- Consumption — 65–85 ml/m² per coat, depending on the surface.
- Air and substrate temperature during application — from +5 to +30 °C.
- Thinner — water.
- Base colour — white. Use water-based and universal pigment pastes for tinting.
