New facade plaster TRAVERTINO ELEMENT DECOR
The collection of decorative finishes ELEMENT DECOR has been joined by new facade siloxane plaster TRAVERTINO, perfectly imitating natural stone travertine.
Travertine is a pale-yellowish stone or calcareous tuff naturally. It has been extensively used in plaster architecture and premises decoration since ancient times. For example, the ring walls of the Coliseum, the famous Roman St. Peter’s Basilica and many historic Roman buildings were built of this stone. For that reason the “travertine” parget is called Roman sometimes.
Using the TRAVERTINO plaster by TM ELEMENT DECOR, you will be able to create the Roman style housefront easily, the walls of medieval castles or the cozy halls of ancient stone cottages in the interior.
TRAVERTINO, the siloxane plaster imitates the natural stone travertine with all its finest patterns and cracks perfectly. The siloxane additives, as components of the plaster, make it strong, vapor-permeable and moisture-proof. And what’s the main; this plaster may be used as the finish layer in the systems of facade heat insulation (including facades insulated with mineral rock wool). Moreover, such plaster conceals the defects of surface preparation and protects the facade from cracking.
The plaster is laid on easily; the finish layer is not required. However, we recommend to use a new wax TRAVERTINO FINITURA in order to liken it with natural stone more and to strengthen water-repellant features. TRAVERTINO FINITURA is a protective wax specifically developed for plaster with “natural stone effect”. The wax may be both colorless and colored. Moreover, using the wax, you may regulate the parget’s glossiness – to strengthen the matt or to add the metallic luster.
